Position: Bayshore General Accountant Role
Join Bayshore as a General Accountant in Markham, Ontario, focusing on financial reporting and the month-end closing process. This contract role supports the controllership unit and involves external audits.

As a General Accountant, you will work closely with the Accounting Manager and be responsible for accurate financial information entry and analysis. You will prepare monthly reconciliations and help enhance accounting systems while participating in year-end audit processes and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute monthly account analyses and reconciliations

• Conduct accurate month-end closing entries and analysis

• Oversee variance analysis and report findings

• Participate in year-end audits and compliance checks

• Develop accounting solutions in collaboration with teams

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in accounting

• At least two years of accounting experience

• Proficient in Excel; experience with Microsoft Navision preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Self-starter with effective communication abilities
