Vaco Staff Accountant

Position: Vaco Staff Accountant Role
Location: Whitchurch-Stouffville

Take charge of financial processes as a Staff Accountant at Vaco by Highspring. Oversee month-end close, perform reconciliations, and analyze financial statements while collaborating across departments.

This role requires 3+ years of progressive accounting experience within corporate environments. You'll manage journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, and prepare management reports while providing insights beyond standard comparisons. Collaborating with Finance and Operations, you will also support AP invoice processing and ad hoc finance projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own month-end and year-end close workflows

• Prepare and analyze management reports and financial statements

• Investigate variances with operational insights

• Support AP/AR reconciliations and invoice processing

• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and auditors

Requirements:

• 3+ years in progressive accounting roles

• Proficient in advanced Excel and ERP systems

• Experience in project-based accounting is beneficial

• Ability to work independently in controlled environments

• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
