Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant at Madison Group

In this role, you will report directly to the VP of Accounting and play a critical part in managing the financial health of commercial and residential developments. Your technical accounting expertise and extensive experience in the real estate sector are vital for preparing financial statements, managing accounts, and ensuring rigorous compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for various entities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including ledger and reconciliations

• Assist with year-end audits and external reporting needs

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes

• Track development and construction costs with accurate reporting

Requirements:

• CPA designation or in progress towards certification

• 8+ years of accounting experience in real estate

• Strong understanding of project accounting and job costing

• Proficiency in accounting software like Quick Books or Yardi

• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling
