Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Canadian tax engagements, including corporate tax returns, T1/T3 filings, tax provisions, and year‑end reporting (T4s/T5s), ensuring compliance with government standards and internal quality expectations.
• Support Senior Tax Managers with corporate reorganizations, tax‑free rollovers, and engagement planning projects.
• Review legal and corporate documents to identify tax issues and opportunities.
• Communicate with clients and tax authorities on compliance matters.
• Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and client summaries.
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide feedback.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and support implementation of strategies.
• Support process improvement and contribute to team development.

• CPA designation (in good standing with CPA Ontario).
• Completion or enrollment in the In-Depth Tax Program and/or MTax (asset).
• Minimum 3+ years in public accounting in a tax‑focused role.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate, partnership, and personal tax.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Working experience with Case Ware and a tax preparation software is essential.
• Working knowledge of Karbon is considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits:
The current salary range for this role is $100,000–$120,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes a health‑spending account, bonus programs, and paid time off.
