Junior Plant Accountant at Nexans

Nexans Canada Inc. is looking for a Junior Plant Accountant for its Markham location. If you have up to 5 years of experience, this full-time role focuses on accurate reporting and financial analysis.

This position reports directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and plays a vital role in supporting the Fergus, Weyburn, and Trenton plants. Your responsibilities will include managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), assisting with month-end close activities, and ensuring accurate inventory valuation. You will also provide financial insights to help improve reporting processes and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and analyze details in industrial KPIs

• Assist with month-end close activities and reconciliations

• Maintain documentation for accounting transactions

• Perform monthly scrap analysis and inventory counts

• Create internal orders and run monthly depreciation in SAP

Requirements:

• University degree in Business or finance/accounting

• 3-5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing

• Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables

• Communication and problem-solving skills

• Professional designation (CMA preferred)
