Position: Payroll Administrator Salary (Hybrid)

The Payroll Administrator is based in Markham, Ontario and typically reports directly to the Payroll Manager. Their primary focus is performing tasks and responsibilities related to processing salaried payroll under the direction of the Payroll Manager. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Accurate and timely end to end processing of salary payrolls and payments via direct deposit; including new employee set up, actioning payroll advice forms, handling terminations including ROEs using WebROERespond to payroll inquiries from internal and external stakeholdersMonthly, quarterly, and annual returns for provincial items like WSIB/WCB, EHTAnnual reconciliation and preparation of T4, RL1, T2200COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Communicates EffectivelyAbility to cope under pressure and maintain focus, dealing effectively with setbacks while remaining positive.Teamwork and Collaboration, with ability to work independently under limited supervision.Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.Maximizes Business Performance and Team EffectivenessEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Completed PCP2+ years full cycle payroll experienceSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel –including vlookup, pivot tables etc)JD Edwards or in-house ERP system an assetExperience in processing payroll in all Canadian provinces and territories an asset.Unionized construction experience an assetDemonstrated ability to work well in a deadline driven environment.Black & McDonald welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
