OverviewAs the Manager, Accounting you will be part of the team that ensures completeness, accuracy, and adherence to internal controls in supporting the Enercare West business unit.
Responsibilities- Own and manage month-end close
- Lead all close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Review and post journal entries
- Identify and resolve close issues proactively
- Balance sheet integrity
- Own the end-to-end balance sheet reconciliation process
- Ensure all accounts are fully supported, reviewed, and cleared on a timely basis
- Drive clean up of legacy issues and establish sustainable processes
- Process improvement & controls
- Implement standardized workflows across SAP and Service Titan
- Strengthen controls and reduce reliance on manual processes
- Systems & data ownership
- Work across SAP and Service Titan to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Improve data flows and reduce manual adjustments at month-end
- Team leadership
- Manage and develop a small team (1-2 direct reports)
- Set clear expectations on deliverables, timelines, and quality
- Provide hands-on coaching on technical accounting and reconciliations
- Analysis & issue resolution
- Partner with IT, Sales Operations, and other business stakeholders
- Investigate variances, unusual trends, and reconciling items
- Provide clear, actionable insights to management
- Accounting/Finance/Business Degree and CPA designation required
- Minimum of 4-7 years of business experience including financial analysis and reporting
- Big 4 experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and Power Point
- Good written and verbal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
- A self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines and executing
- Able to work well under pressure
