Canada First Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our growing team. Will be responsible for managing accounting operations, payroll, job costing, accounts payable/receivable, and construction-related financial documentation for Construction projects.
- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare customer invoices, progress billings, and payment follow-ups
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain financial records
- Process payroll and maintain employee pay records
- Prepare HST filings
- Track project costs, labour costs, and job costing reports
- Maintain subcontractor and supplier payment records
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
- Prepare statutory declarations and other project-related documentation
- Coordinate with project managers regarding project budgets and expenses
- Maintain Quick Books and accounting system accuracy
