As Senior Accountant - Assurance, you will have the opportunity to coach and develop less experienced team members. You will also have the support of your team, and the Firm partners.
It goes without saying, but we'll say it anyway, accuracy is vital. The desire to develop yourself and others is a way of life for us, always evolving to be better at what we do and being humble in the process.
Education, Experience and Credentials- Be a graduate of a University Accounting Program or equivalent
- Have successfully completed CFE
- Have 2 years of experience in a public accounting Firm
- Have Advanced knowledge and application of general accounting principles (GAAP), IFRS, ASPE, ASNPO, and Canadian Auditing Standards
- Have the ability to proficiently draft client documents from templates
- We believe in using technology to its fullest, so demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, with the ability to create advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, sum ifs, and data analytics, and proficiency with Caseware, Case View, Jazzit, and Taxprep.
- Promptly identify significant issues for discussion with the Manager and/or Partner
- Bring an inquisitive mindset and pose credible solutions to issues
- Ensure that all queries and outstanding points have been cleared satisfactorily
- Critically review your work before submitting it to your Manager
