Position: Umicore Accounting Specialist Role
Be part of Umicore in Markham, Ontario, as an Accounting Specialist. This position focuses on financial reporting, account reconciliations, and supports effective internal controls to enhance accuracy.

As an Accounting Specialist, you will coordinate with the Accounts Payable team to streamline financial disbursements. Your responsibilities include reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and assisting with audits. This role is essential in driving efficient financial operations and maintaining compliance with established policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with Accounts Payable for accurate coding and disbursements

• Review and reconcile Accounts Receivable ledgers

• Assist in month-end financial analysis and reporting

• Organize banking and document retention processes

• Participate in compliance and audit activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Relevant experience in finance or accounting roles

• Knowledge of SAP or similar financial systems

• Proficient in Excel and documentation management

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
