Staff Accountant Accounts Payable

Support month-end close and accounts payable from Canada in a remote-friendly Staff Accountant position focused on accurate corporate accounting.

This Staff Accountant role supports corporate accounting operations within a mission-driven organization transforming healthcare through technology and proactive medical screening. You will manage reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting schedules. The position partners with Accounts Payable, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, and other stakeholders to maintain reliable financial records.

• Prepare balance sheet, payable, and general ledger reconciliations
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve routine reconciling items independently
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and supporting schedules
• Support accounts payable cutoff and period-end accounting activities
• Review invoices, card transactions, reimbursements, coding, and entity allocation

• Accounting, Finance, or related post-secondary education
• Two to four years of progressive accounting experience
• Hands-on month-end close and reconciliation experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets proficiency
• Experience with Net Suite or comparable ERP systems
