We are hiring a full-time evening and weekend Receptionist for our Markham office. This is a 6‑month contract role requiring evening (5 pm–9 pm) and weekend (9 am–6 pm) shifts.

Job Description
  • Answer calls from a switchboard, screen and direct calls to the appropriate party and take messages for those who do not want to leave a voicemail.
  • Ensure a professional and courteous approach with clients, visitors and employees.
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail and courier packages, including filing waybills appropriately.
  • Greet visitors in a professional manner and notify the appropriate person of their arrival.
  • Update the monthly calendar with onsite and offsite courses, meetings and seminars.
  • Verify phone numbers and addresses of clients for field staff.
  • Verify voicemail numbers for field staff and HCSS (Home and Community Care Support Services).
  • Liaise with building management for maintenance requests and with security for parking issues.
  • May sort, date‑stamp, pick up and deliver mail to employees.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • 1 year of previous reception and switchboard experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and good written skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment where multitasking and prioritising is essential.
