Position: Clerical Unit Secretary Needed

As a Unit Secretary, you will contribute to the Inpatient Mental Health clerical team's effectiveness. This involves managing reception duties, coordinating patient orders, and preparing necessary documentation. Success in this role relies on your ability to perform in an emotionally intense environment while ensuring efficient clerical processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage reception areas and answer phone calls

• Liaise with admissions and patient registration processes

• Handle patient order processing through computer systems

• Prepare patient program materials and clerical documentation

• Maintain organization of patient charts and files

Requirements:

• Recent Unit Secretary experience in a hospital

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and typing speed of at least 45 w.p.m.

• Experience with Meditech and scheduling software

• Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset

• Background in mental health services is preferred
