Support Christmas Kettle operations in Orillia with scheduling, volunteer coordination, and secure donation handling for The Salvation Army. This is a temporary, part-time, onsite position.
The Christmas Kettle Assistant helps organize, direct, and supervise campaign worker activities. You will assist with staff and volunteer scheduling, orientation, performance management, and kettle-site relationships. The position also supports daily logistics, communications, and campaign coverage.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate Christmas Kettle staff and volunteer activities
- Schedule workers and respond to emergency absences
- Deliver and collect kettles from sites daily
- Secure donations and transfer contents into deposit bags
- Host kettle sites and provide required coverage
- Completed high school or equivalent
- One year of community-based program experience is an asset
- Office administration and Microsoft Word and Excel experience
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license and driver abstract
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds safely
