Your area of focusAs an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. This is a hands‑on role that requires mechanical knowledge, automotive repair skills, and the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
What drives your day‑to‑day?- Perform bodywork tasks, applying filler, shaping, forming, sanding, priming, and painting
- Repair and replace damaged vehicle parts, including body panels, fenders, doors, and bumpers
- Align and fit vehicle components to the original pre‑condition
- Inspect vehicles for additional damage
- Assess Frame with Car‑O‑Liner measurement system
- Clamp down and pull for mash and sway
- Section‑in frame rails, quarter panels, rockers, pillars
- Use spot welder, miracle dent puller, mig welder
- Attention to detail, panel dry fit, smooth/clean repair
- Ability to work independently and as part of our team
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines
- Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset
- Completion of a related post‑secondary program and or training courses
- Knowledge of manufacturers’ repair/refinishing processes & adherence to processes
- Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost‑effectively
- I‑CAR certification training and I‑CAR certification would be considered assets
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving history
