Project Manager, Operations Manager

Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of a construction project, including financial performance, project schedule, quality and safety.

• Manages projects to ensure alignment with design, budget, and schedule.
• Monitors project performance (schedule, cost, manpower, materials, equipment, safety, quality).
• Negotiates and issues subcontracts, purchase orders, and progress payments; monitors progress.
• Oversees project closeout.

• Interfaces with project team, subcontractors, and third parties.
• Meets with owners and consultants; communicates company interests and concerns effectively.

• Conducts site inspections to ensure safety and adherence to policies/standards.
• Provides technical expertise.
• Supervises, guides, and evaluates team members.
• Identifies and manages project risks and opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. P. Eng or C.E.T. will be an asset.
• 8+ years of progressive construction experience.
• Experience in heavy civil, road, and bridge construction projects is mandatory.
• Experience in AFP/P3 Design‑Build projects is an asset.
• In‑depth knowledge of construction industry including building materials, specifications, methods, procedures, construction law, and building codes.
• Expert understanding of OPSS is a must.
• Estimating experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in managing all aspects of road building, asphalt, and construction projects.
• Results‑driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.

• Expected Base Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 per year (dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, and work location).
