Health and Safety Advisor at GIP

Elevate your career as a Health Safety and Environment Advisor with Green Infrastructure Partners in the Greater Toronto Area. This field-based role focuses on risk assessments and site safety compliance.

Reporting to the Manager of HSE, the Advisor collaborates directly with the national health and safety team and local operations. Emphasizing active engagement, you will manage risks and implement practical safety measures on construction sites. Your expertise ensures the safety of field operations while fostering a safety-conscious workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site-specific risk assessments for construction environments

• Observe and identify hazards during real-time operations

• Monitor high-risk activities and enforce safety measures

• Facilitate safety training and engage with workers on-site

• Support emergency response strategies and evaluate plans

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Health and Safety

• Over 5 years of experience in construction or industrial settings

• CM IOSH Certification required; CRSP/CRST as assets

• Valid driver’s license and bilingual in French is a plus

• Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation
