As a Bio-economy Education Program Coordinator, you will assist with the development and coordination of educational programs focused on bio-economy concepts, sustainability, and green technologies. You will work with schools, community organizations, and industry partners to increase our outreach and promote bio-economy education.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and creating engaging educational content on bio-economy topics, such as sustainability, renewable resources, and bio-based products, for various communication mediums (e.g., brochures, newsletters, videos, and social media posts).
- Identifying and promoting educational events, workshops, and initiatives through outreach events, networking opportunities, and public relations strategies.
- Establishing and nurturing partnerships with schools, universities, community organizations, and industry professionals to enhance educational opportunities and bio‑economy awareness.
- Passion for environmental education and sustainability, with a strong interest in promoting bioeconomy knowledge to youth and community members.
- Experience in developing educational content, including digital and print materials, for various audiences. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with students, educators, and community partners.
- Experience in establishing partnerships, collaborating with external organizations, and promoting educational initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Canva, Google Workspace, and social media platforms for communication and outreach purposes.
- Creative thinking and problem‑solving skills to engage youth and community members with bio‑economy concepts.
- Ability to travel to meetings and conferences; some evenings and weekends may also be required.
- A valid G2/G Driving license.
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check is required from successful candidates.
- Fluency in multiple languages.
- Strong problem‑solving and counselling skills.
