York Catholic District School Board invites applications for the position of French Immersion Teacher – Grade 2, location:
St. Francis Xavier. Effective:
January 5, 2026 – June 26, 2026. FTE: 1.0.

• FSL – Part 1, or other French qualifications listed on Ontario College of Teachers Certificate (OCT).
• High degree of oral and written proficiency in the French language.
• Qualifications for the Primary, Junior and/or Intermediate Division.

• Experience teaching in the Primary, Junior and/or Intermediate Division.
• Training in the Accelerated Integrated Method (AIM/Gestures).
• FSL – Part 2 or Specialist qualification.
• Knowledge of Balance Literacy and Numeracy practices in the Primary, Junior and/or Intermediate Division.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to share a Junior or Intermediate classroom.
