Volunteer Teaching Assistant Position

Join our Chinese School in Markham as a Volunteer Teaching Assistant dedicated to fostering growth in young learners. Engage with students through positive interactions and enriching activities every Saturday.

This role is available from September 2026 through June 2027, requiring 2–4 hours of volunteer service each week. You will assist teachers, encourage participation in group activities, and help with camp logistics, thereby enhancing the students' educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Encourage participation in engaging group activities

• Assist teachers effectively with lessons

• Support meal and snack distribution

• Facilitate camp setup and cleanup processes

• Aid staff with roll call and student dismissal

Requirements:

• Open to individuals in Grade 9 or above

• Fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin

• Must be patient and enjoy working with kids

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Background check willingness
