Purpose:
The Student Health & Wellness Mentor is responsible for providing peer support by sharing information and promoting programs and strategies for maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
Education:
Must be enrolled as a York student.
Experience:
Previous work experience may be considered.
Skills:
Ability to communicate with others to explain and share information.
Ability to understand and relate to others.
Ability to collaborate and work with others to complete a shared goal.
Ability to build and maintain relationships.
Ability to provide insight and suggestions to support individuals in making informed decisions.
Ability to demonstrate empathy and respond in a thoughtful manner.
Ability to interpret and apply best practices, policies and procedures.
