Math Tutor Position Ontario

Engage with students at Oxford Learning Markham East as a part-time Math Tutor, helping them overcome challenges in grades 3-10 mathematics. This role is perfect for those passionate about teaching.

Oxford Learning seeks motivated teacher-tutors who enjoy working face-to-face with students during weekdays and Saturdays. Successful candidates will have robust math knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make subjects accessible and enjoyable. Commitment through the term is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct lessons for up to three students at different levels

• Implement teaching strategies in line with Oxford Learning's methodologies

• Document post-lesson reflections and notes

• Maintain regular communication updates for students

• Preserve a positive and welcoming learning atmosphere

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification in relevant field

• Familiarity with grades 3-10 math curriculum

• Experience in tutoring or teaching math

• Skilled in multitasking with several students

• Must live in or near Markham East
