This contract role is part of Children & Youth Services and emphasizes the importance of understanding online dynamics related to violence. E-Mediators will utilize their social media expertise to identify emerging trends, while also providing essential support through workshops and reports. The work is community-oriented, aiming to directly impact the safety of vulnerable youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete E-VIBE E-Mediator training program
• Monitor online interactions for potential violence
• Identify bullying and intimidation online
• Summarize findings and deliver reports quarterly
• Facilitate violence awareness workshops
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of social media platforms
• Experience or understanding of community violence
• Strong interpersonal and partnership skills
• Familiarity with youth development principles
• Resident of the Greater Toronto Area
