Markham Assistant Teacher in Child Care

This position collaborates directly with E.C.E. Teachers in delivering a comprehensive program aligned with child care regulations. You will contribute to planning based on children's interests, monitor their progress, and promote effective communication with families. Your nurturing approach will help build essential emotional and social skills in children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support High/Scope® educational curriculum delivery
• Help create culturally relevant programming
• Participate in assessment of children’s development
• Facilitate skill development in daily routines
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in learning spaces
Requirements:
• Must have experience in child care or education
• Knowledge of best practices in childhood education
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills
• First Aid and CPR Level C certification required
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check necessary
