High School Math and Science Tutor

Empower students through education as a part-time Math and Science Tutor at Oxford Learning in Markham. You’ll engage with learners from Grades 9-12, delivering structured lessons without the need for advance planning.

This part-time teaching role requires availability during evenings and some Saturdays, with an emphasis on guiding students in advanced functions and calculus. Teacher-Tutors will receive comprehensive training in Oxford Learning’s proven methodologies. A strong commitment to student progress and reliability is essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct up to three students in math and science subjects

• Deliver lessons following established Oxford Learning methods

• Complete post-lesson reflections and updates

• Maintain professional relationships with students

• Provide updates about student performance regularly

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Familiarity with teaching Grades 9-12 math and science

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Ability to multitask effectively

• Must be located near Markham for convenient commuting
