Evening Skate Instructor

Position: Evening Learn to Skate Instructor
Pursue a rewarding role as an Evening Learn to Skate Instructor in Markham, ON, assisting young skaters aged 3-10. Foster a positive environment while collaborating with the Head Skating Instructor.

This temporary part-time position involves executing the Learn to Skate program and ensuring safety for all participants. You’ll draw on your experience in figure skating or hockey, engaging with children and parents to build their confidence on ice. Your communication and leadership skills will help create an enjoyable atmosphere for beginners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in organizing and delivering skating lessons

• Maintain a safe environment during sessions

• Communicate effectively with participants and peers

• Enforce safety procedures as required

• Teach basic skating skills to children and youth

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years experience in sports instruction

• Current Standard First Aid or CPR certification

• High Five Certificate for child development

• Demonstrated skating ability for effective instruction

• Minimum age of 16 at employment start
