Drive successful student teaching placements at Pacific Oaks College as the Director of Fieldwork and Student Teaching. This hybrid position emphasizes partnership development, compliance, and effective mentorship.
In this leadership role, you will manage internships and coordinate the training of Fieldwork Supervisors and mentor teachers while supporting candidates in their teaching placements. Collaborating with academic staff and key school districts, your focus will be on timely and effective placements that meet accreditation standards. Your experience will directly influence the quality of teacher education at Pacific Oaks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all student teaching placements and fieldwork
• Facilitate orientations for mentors and candidates
• Develop partnerships with local school districts
• Ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance
• Monitor progress within teaching programs
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a related education field
• Minimum of three years K-12 teaching experience
• Proven ability to mentor students
• Familiarity with California Credential and Education Standards
• Strong communication and organizational capabilities
