Math and Science Teacher-Tutor

Position: Math and Science Teacher-Tutor Role
Excel as a part-time Math and Science Teacher-Tutor at Oxford Learning Markham East. Engage with high school students to enhance their math and science capabilities while boosting their confidence.

This position emphasizes helping students in Grades 9–12 navigate challenging subjects. With pre-planned lessons and thorough training provided, you'll primarily work after school and occasionally on Saturdays. Commitment through June and beyond is preferred for effective learning continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach diverse subjects to up to three students at a time

• Facilitate both online and in-person sessions

• Utilize Oxford Learning's instructional philosophies

• Write post-lesson notes for student tracking

• Cultivate a friendly and engaging learning environment

Requirements:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree or certification

• Comprehensive understanding of the Grades 9–12 curriculum

• Experience in teaching or tutoring at high school level

• Strong communication and multitasking capabilities

• Completion of vulnerable sector screening mandatory
