At the York Region District School Board, we are looking for a passionate teacher for our East area to fulfill a 100% long-term occasional position. Your responsibility will be to nurture students' interest in cooperative learning. Candidates must be associated with the Ontario College of Teachers and provide necessary references if not already employed with YRDSB. Salary adheres to the OSSTF Secondary Teacher Collective Agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement the Cooperative Education curriculum
• Develop student relationships to facilitate learning
• Collaborate with community businesses for real-world applications
• Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback
• Establish an inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
• Ontario College of Teachers qualification is mandatory
• Significant experience in teaching at the secondary level
• Relevant positive references from educational supervisors
• Advocacy for diversity and inclusion in classrooms
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
