Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Trained Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our vibrant team as a Toddler Teacher. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers. Your expertise in Montessori principles will inspire young children to explore, learn, and grow confidently. You will be responsible for implementing curriculum plans, fostering positive relationships with children and families, and maintaining a safe and organized classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Montessori-based activities that promote independence, curiosity, and social-emotional growth among toddlers
  • Observe and assess each child's developmental progress, tailoring activities to meet individual needs
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns
  • Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care.
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and Montessori methodology for toddlers
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a valuable asset for bilingual communication
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
  • Demonstrated experience working with young children in classroom settings or childcare environments
  • Familiarity with special education practices and experience supporting children with disabilities or developmental delays
  • Proficient computer skills including basic operation of educational software, record keeping, and documentation tools
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage classroom materials, schedules, and documentation efficiently
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to foster positive relationships within a team setting
  • Strong time management skills to balance planning, supervision, and administrative duties effectively
  • Writing skills for documenting observations, reports, and communication logs
