• Monitor and calculate production rates.
• Ensure compliance with operational constraints of the contract.
• Manage all paperwork and communication within the field office.
• Lead monitoring of compliance to the Contractor’s Quality Control Performance Measures.
• Inspect construction activities to verify compliance with contract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site surveys, confirm scope of work, obtain necessary information, equipment and materials, and maintain quality and payment records in a daily diary.
• Compile field/test data into report form for the Contract Administrator.
• Liaise with service providers for specialized inspections or testing to ensure tasks meet terms and specifications.
• Obtain required video or photographic records.
• Record, review and address contractor questions and clarifications; report to the Contract Administrator if unresolved.
• Attend site meetings and reconnaissance on‑site.
• Handle multiple priorities while maintaining focus.

• Familiar with field construction activities.
• Ready to work on weekends, nights, shifts, and additional hours as required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective team player.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Prior office administration experience in a construction office is an asset.
• A valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to travel and work in the greater Ottawa and surrounding area.

• Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology/Technician, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in engineering/construction on MTO projects.
• Prior experience as an Office Person on an MTO contract.
• Registration as a Technician/Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T. | Professional Engineer | Engineer‑in‑Training with PEO.

Designation as determined by OACETT (Road Construction Senior Inspector (RCSI) or Road Construction Contract Administration (RCCA)). Typical office environment with computer use; field work may involve exposure to inclement weather.
