Reporting to the Manager, Design Build and Pursuits or appointed designate, the Project Coordinator, Design Build and Pursuits plays an essential role in project procurement and execution for our design build projects located in Ontario. This dynamic role is focused on assisting management to obtain new design build work by coordinating and completing design build project pursuits. The Project Coordinator, Design Build and Pursuits will assist in the preparation of qualification documents and coordinate project pursuits by actively engaging with design consultants, schedulers, construction operations teams, and estimators.
PrimaryScope of Role:
- Review design build contract documents and prepare qualification and proposal submissions to obtain new business
- Coordinate and liaise with design consultants, schedulers, construction management / operations personnel, engineers, and estimators
- Organize and chair regular meetings with pursuit participants to ensure pursuit schedule is achieved
- Collect and organize information from various sources and information is shared with relevant pursuit participants
- Prepare written correspondence to the Owner
- Participate in the preparation and evaluation of potential risk items
- Participate in the preparation and evaluation of purchase orders and subcontract agreements
- Develop templates to standardize information collected from various sources
- The successful candidate will have an opportunity to advance awarded projects through detailed design and construction phases of the work, extending project knowledge gained from the pursuit to execution
- Completed a post-secondary school education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management disciplines;disciplines, or acceptable combination of education and previous experience.
- 2-3 years construction experience, civil infrastructure preferred
- Proficient in software related to construction industry as required (e.g. Primavera Scheduling software, AutoCAD, SAP, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to read and understand contract documents and technical background information and prepare written proposals in response to project pursuits
- Ability to interpret contract documents and communicate effectively to pursuit participants
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
- Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Expected Base Salary: $52,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and work location.
