Summary:

In this highly visible role, you will work as part of the system architecture team for a high‑performance and low‑power display processing unit.
The Display Processing Unit (DPU) is integral part of Qualcomm snapdragon in multiple BU’s including mobile, automotive, VR, wearable. DPU is responsible for compositing of final image use sees from image streams generated from SOC internal GPU, CPU, video decoder and camera as well as data processing such as color space conversion, color management. The DPU is also responsible for transmitting display data to display panel through industry standard display interfaces such as DSI and display port.
Display Co‑Processor (DCP) is a specialized hardware block inside a system‑on‑chip (SoC) that handles display‑related tasks so the main CPU or GPU doesn’t have to. It’s a dedicated engine that manages the timing, formatting, and coordination required to drive a display smoothly and efficiently.
New Position
- Analyze DCP performance characteristics and requirements.
- Perform performance and power assessment to drive the DCP roadmap.
- Collaborate with the display and SoC architects, hardware and software teams to evaluate new features and understand trade‑off’s.
- Present analysis results and provide recommendations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in modern CPU architecture to improve performance, efficiency, and parallelism.
- Solid understanding of CPU architecture concepts such as pipelining, branch prediction, L2/L3 cache hierarchy, memory management unit.
- Familiar with CPU benchmarks such as Geekbench 6.
- Familiar with C/C++, System
C and scripting languages such as Perl and/or Python. - Experience in CPU benchmark/workload analysis and characterization.
- Critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills are mandatory.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
- PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales‑incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
