You will work on HW block testbench verification for one or more HW block designs, either as an owner, or within a small verification group.

The Person

You will be involved in all aspects of the verification process from test planning, group test review, testbench development, test writing & test/HW debug, verification closure & functional coverage signoff to system verification. You will be involved in defining verification strategies for your blocks and help ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, verified hardware products to SoC projects  will validate that video HW blocks and related interfaces function correctly, are robust, operate reliably under stressful scenarios, and meet power & performance requirements.

You may work closely with design teams to identify and fix issues. You will be highly accurate and detail-oriented, possess good communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to execute effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop & execute comprehensive verification plans and test benches for video hardware blocks such as video encoders/decoders (H.264, HEVC, VP9, AV1, JPEG), and image signal processors as part of a block team.
  • Create tests & run simulations to verify HW block behaves as expected.
  • Use hardware description languages (System Verilog, Formal) and verification methodologies (UVM, Formal, and others) to build test environments & test benches tailored for compression & decompression of video content (raw video & bitstreams respectively).
  • Collaborate with design, other verification teams, firmware and software teams to debug issues related to video hardware test benches. Ensure designs meet industry video standards and compliance requirements.
  • Document verification plans, test results, and coverage reports.
  • Leverage AI tools & methodologies to enhance the verification process including automating verification tasks and verification tool development for video hardware.
  • Stay current on verification techniques & emerging video technologies.
Preferred Experience
