Electrical Project ManagerThe Electrical Project Manager manages project portfolios, client relationships, and provides technical oversight for Electrical Building Systems engineering for Commercial Buildings. Responsibilities include senior-level electrical engineering, fee proposals, budgeting, team coordination, site review, among other responsibilities.
The firm is a US-based, international consulting firm. This is a large, corporate environment where the engineer works with stakeholders across the organization to coordinate and complete projects. This role works with their internal consulting team on multi-discipline buildings engineering projects across Canada.
This role is hybrid 3x weekly out of the company's Markham office.
Salary: $115,000 to $135,000
Logistics:

- Responsible for managing multiple electrical design projects, including
1) overall project scope and deliverables,
2) CAD deliverables, and
3) project budgets and financials. - Manage project portfolios and client relationships for electrical systems engineering in commercial buildings, including both new construction, retrofit, and tenant projects.
- Feasibility research and design of building electrical systems: power distribution, utilities connections, lighting, controls, emergency power, life-safety systems, fire alarms, renewable power generation and storage.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and architects to develop detailed designs.
- Electrical design to support tenant and mechanical system upgrades.
- From project initiation to completion, support the team by providing equipment selections, cost and timing, estimates, reports, design specifications and drawings for building electrical systems.
- Eligible for license with PEO (P.Eng).
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering with Electrical Engineering focus.
- 7+ years relevant working experience in electrical building systems engineering including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and associated systems.
- Commercial and Institutional building design experience considered an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Extensive project track record using relevant Electrical Codes and Provincial Building Codes.
