Junior Estimator

Summary

Reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will support the estimating team to perform a variety of Estimating Functions to support the day‑to‑day operations.

• Taking quantity take‑offs.
• Contacting suppliers & sub‑trades for pricing.
• Working within Bid2
  
  Win estimating system.

• Tracking quantity & production.
• Assisting estimators & managers with project management.
• In‑field quantity measurements.

• Completed civil engineering or civil engineering technician/technology program.
• Strong knowledge and use of computer software.
• Prior co‑op and/or practical experience in a heavy civil construction environment.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Results‑driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast‑paced environment.
• Outcome‑focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyse and visualise to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
• Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to effectively prioritise and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.

• Compensation: $53,000 – $65,000 per year, with the actual base salary dependent on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
