Position: Civil Construction Inspector at Morrison Hershfield
Morrison Hershfield, now Stantec, seeks a Transportation Field Inspector II with expertise in civil engineering. Ensure compliance on heavy civil construction and public works projects across Canada.
This regular role requires a Post Secondary degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of two years of experience. You will inspect contractors' work, prepare daily inspection reports, and collaborate with project teams to address unforeseen conditions. Your strong communication skills will support effective stakeholder management and streamlined project progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect contractor's work for compliance with plans

• Prepare daily inspection reports and contractor photographs

• Coordinate with teams for permit compliance

• Monitor work progress against schedules

• Assist with project close-out processes
Requirements:

• Post Secondary degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• Minimum 2 years in heavy civil construction

• Proficiency in reading plans and specifications

• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
