AECOM Canada is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager, Scientist, or Engineer to join our Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation team in Ontario. This position offers the opportunity to lead and deliver complex environmental site assessment and excess soil projects while working directly with clients and multidisciplinary technical teams. The role combines project management, technical environmental work delivery, and strategic project planning, with responsibilities tailored to the successful candidate’s experience and career goals.

- Manage environmental site assessment and excess soil projects, including planning, execution, reporting, and overall project delivery.
- Lead the design and implementation of field programs, including soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water sampling, ensuring adherence to technical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary technical resources, subcontractors, and field teams to meet project objectives, schedules, and quality expectations.
- Prepare, review, and validate scopes of work, cost estimates, project schedules, and technical deliverables.
- Contribute to and lead the development of strategic, multi-disciplinary proposals and client presentations.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships through proactive communication, issue resolution, and delivery of high-quality work.
- Apply strong project controls, including scope management, forecasting, budgeting, change management, and risk mitigation.
- Provide technical input on environmental site assessments, excess soil management plans, data interpretation, conceptual site models, and remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with AECOM’s quality management systems, health and safety requirements, and project risk management practices.
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate staff through technical guidance, field oversight, and career development.
- Collaborate with senior leaders, project managers, and technical specialists across AECOM’s regional and national teams to support project delivery and business growth.
- Knowledge and experience working with Ontario Regulations 153/04 and 406/19.
- 8+ years of consulting experience in environmental site assessments, remediation and/or excess soil management.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills.
- 10+ years of relevant experience and professional designation (e.g. P.Eng. or P.Geo.) and ability to act as a Qualified Person, as per Ontario Regulation 153/04.
