Join Aviva as an Electrical Fire Origin Engineer focusing on forensic investigations to improve safety standards. This position is pivotal in fire origin analysis and requires extensive technical expertise.
As a part of Aviva's team, you'll deliver forensic engineering services by investigating electrical fires and explosions. With your 8-10 years of experience, you will conduct field examinations to document findings that support claims professionals. Responsibilities also include advising on electrical fire risks and analyzing post-fire indicators to enhance prevention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough investigations of electrical fire incidents
• Document evidence and collect data from various sources
• Apply scientific methods to determine failure causes
• Provide authoritative engineering opinions to stakeholders
• Monitor and guide external forensic investigations when necessary
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences
• Professional Engineer license in Ontario
• 8-10 years in fire investigation or forensic engineering
• Strong analytical skills and technical writing proficiency
• Certification as a Fire and Explosion Investigator
