Job Overview
Morrison Hershfield, now Stantec, is hiring a Consultant II for its Building Specialty Services (BSS) group. This role focuses on building science consulting services, supporting projects ranging from thousands to multimillions and collaborating with clients and industry leaders.
Responsibilities- Assist with writing proposals and establishing financial budgets.
- Assist with project document reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, etc.).
- Attend pre‑construction meetings and document discussions.
- Assist with review and report on project mock‑ups.
- Assist with performance of periodic site visits and utilize a site visit reporting system to identify and update action items.
- Assist with performance offield testing to confirm building enclosure performance (water, air leakage, EFVM, infrared testing, etc.).
- Assist in small project management and coordination.
- Participate in continuing education.
- Periodic out‑of‑state travel.
- Perform various office related tasks.
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
- Pursuing registration as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is a plus.
- General knowledge of Building Science principles or Building Envelope components is a plus.
- Experience as a Building Envelope Consultant and/or Trade Expert is a plus.
- Organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks on multiple projects.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong customer service commitment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Professional attitude, commitment to succeed, persistence, strong work ethic.
- Valid Driver's license and access to a vehicle.
