We are seeking a detail-oriented, full-time Steel Estimator to join our team on-site in Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, preparing highly accurate cost estimates, and creating detailed shop drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel projects. You will work closely with management, clients, and internal teams to ensure project scopes are clearly defined, materials are procured efficiently, and bids are competitive.

• Estimating:
  Prepare detailed, accurate itemized take-offs and cost estimates from technical drawings.
• Project coordination:
  Work closely with our team to schedule projects effectively and deliver documentation and fabricated items on time.
• Drafting:
  Develop detailed shop drawings to support production and fabrication teams.
• Analysis:
  Evaluate project specifications, requirements, and addenda to confirm the scope of work.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work with management, clients, and team members to clarify project requirements.
• Procurement:
  Coordinate the procurement of raw materials and inventory based on project needs.

• Experience in construction estimation, cost analysis, and blueprint reading (steel industry preferred).
• Proficiency with drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar is an MUST).
• Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent time management.
• Effective oral and written communication skills for client and team interaction.
• Education in Construction Management or Steel Detailing (or related field), or equivalent industry experience.
