Join GE as a Lead Engineer for electrical systems in the BWRX-300 reactor based in Markham, Ontario. This position emphasizes design, integration, and regulatory compliance.
As a lead engineer, you will be responsible for the design and analysis of electrical systems for the BWRX-300 Small Module Reactor. You will conduct electrical studies, prepare critical engineering deliverables, and develop comprehensive specifications for major electrical equipment. Ensuring compliance with nuclear regulations and collaborating with suppliers are integral to your work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee design of safety-related electrical systems
• Conduct load flow, short circuit, and protective relay studies
• Develop and deliver electrical engineering documentation
• Collaborate on procurement for transformers and switch gear
• Manage Generator Interconnection Agreements for grid stability
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
• 5+ years in energy or nuclear sectors
• Strong Protection Control and Grid Interface expertise
• Familiarity with regulatory codes in US and CA
leverage your engineering expertise to support innovative nuclear power systems at GE in Markham.
