Mechanical BIM Technician at Stantec

Join Stantec's Mechanical Engineering team as a BIM Technician in Markham, ON. Collaborate closely to design and model HVAC and plumbing systems across diverse sectors.

As a key contributor to the mechanical design team, you will engage actively in creating, developing, and maintaining design models and drawings using BIM, Revit, and CAD techniques.

Your role includes coordinating mechanical designs with various engineering disciplines, reviewing models for accuracy, and supporting the construction phase. You'll ensure projects meet client specifications and regulatory standards while showcasing your detail-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems for various projects

• Create and maintain project design models and drawings

• Coordinate designs with engineering and architectural disciplines

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in projects

• Support tendering and field review phases

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years' experience in CAD, BIM, and Navisworks

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent

• Strong attention to detail in calculations

• Ability to work in a multi-discipline team

• Interest in construction and mechanical systems
