ASIC Verification Engineer at AMD

Join AMD as an ASIC Verification Engineer focused on high-performance microprocessor subsystems in Markham or Ottawa. Contribute to embedded firmware development and co-verification efforts in cutting-edge SoCs.

In this role within the Security IP Team (SECIP), your primary tasks will involve the co-verification of subsystems and hardware accelerators. Strong candidates possess analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to drive complex technical tasks independently. Work with firmware and hardware teams to build scalable solutions in security-focused environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and verify firmware for secure boot and acceleration services

• Perform hardware/firmware co-verification using UVM System Verilog

• Define and maintain verification architecture for embedded CPUs

• Collaborate on specifications and influence co-design

• Build verification infrastructure, including UVCs and response models

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering

• Strong experience in ASIC design and verification

• Proficiency in C, C++, and System Verilog

• Expertise in UVM methodologies

• Deep understanding of AXI/AHB protocols
