Position: HVAC Designer for Commercial Projects
Join Frontop as an HVAC Designer, focusing on commercial, industrial, and residential projects in Markham, ON. Leverage your technical skills in drafting, calculations, and code compliance.

As an HVAC Designer, you will prepare detailed drawings for HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire protection. This role includes performing heat loss and gain calculations, ductwork designs, and ensuring compliance with ASHRAE standards and local building codes. Collaborate with architects, clients, and contractors to deliver efficient mechanical designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection drawings

• Conduct building heat loss/gain and duct calculations

• Calculate ventilation requirements per ASHRAE standards

• Draft plumbing layouts and ensure code compliance

• Perform energy analysis to meet efficiency requirements

Requirements:

• Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment

• Familiarity with Ontario building and fire codes

• Basic AutoCAD skills;
Revit is an asset

• Strong communication skills for client interactions

• Ability to work collaboratively under pressure
