Civil Estimating Leadership Position

Be a key player at GIP as a Senior Estimator in Toronto, Ontario. Utilize your civil engineering experience to lead the estimating process for large-scale infrastructure projects.

As a Senior Estimator, you will oversee the preparation of cost estimates for various public works, collaborating closely with the pursuit, engineering, operations, and procurement teams. The ideal candidate will have at least 7-10 years of civil infrastructure experience, with proficiency in estimating for MTO projects and a strong grasp of market trends and pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee bid submissions for complex civil infrastructure projects

• Develop unit cost databases and conduct cost analyses

• Collaborate with teams to identify risks and construction methods

• Ensure compliance with contract documents and industry standards

• Analyze subcontractor quotes for scope and competitiveness

Requirements:

• Degree in civil engineering or related discipline

• 7-10 years of civil infrastructure experience

• In-depth knowledge of OPSS and OPSD standards

• Proven ability to estimate from incomplete designs

• Strong communication and organizational skills
