Power Generation Electrical Designer

Elevate your career with WSP as an Electrical and Controls Designer focused on Power Generation. This role is integral to the energy system advancements throughout Canada.

The successful candidate will work within the Energy & Process team, leveraging over 5 years of experience in consulting or EPC environments. You will create comprehensive electrical drawing packages and collaborate with mechanical, civil, and structural teams to ensure safe project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transform P&IDs into accurate electrical drawings

• Prepare bid and construction electrical drawing packages

• Mark up vendor drawings to fit project specifications

• Support electrical contractors and provide field guidance

• Coordinate efforts among diverse project teams

Requirements:

• Diploma in electrical engineering technology or similar

• 5+ years of experience in electrical design

• Hands-on experience with Power Generation Projects

• Advanced AutoCAD skills; familiarity with 3D CADD preferred

• Strong focus on solutions in a multidisciplinary setup
