Senior Cost Advisor - Stantec

Stantec is looking for a Senior Cost Advisor with expertise in Civil, Structural, and Architectural disciplines. This pivotal role emphasizes your ability to manage cost estimates and support major projects throughout North America.

As part of the Program Management group, you will utilize your strong communication skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of cost estimating methodologies, engineering design, and procurement, ideally with at least 10 years of experience. Your work will influence significant projects across healthcare, transit, and more, ensuring that clients meet their organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and bills of materials

• Review estimates at each design milestone

• Assess project changes, claims, and support negotiations

• Provide innovative solutions to estimating issues

• Present project cost reports to stakeholders

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years in a Civil estimating role preferred

• Technical degree or equivalent experience

• Strong knowledge of cost estimating and associated guidelines

• Proficiency in MS Office and estimating software

• Ability to plan and review cost estimating projects
