Power Systems Interconnection Specialist

Ramboll is seeking a Power Systems Interconnection Specialist to work remotely or in a hybrid setting. This role is key in connecting regulators and technical solutions for renewable energy projects.

As a specialist in the interconnection process, you will provide crucial support to clients within a variety of sectors, including renewables like solar PV and wind. Your dual expertise in regulations and engineering will help clients overcome challenges in the interconnection queue and achieve successful project completion. Engage with a diverse portfolio and make tangible impacts in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on interconnection strategies for renewable energy projects

• Navigate ISO/RTO tariffs and translate complexities for clients

• Evaluate system studies for potential interconnection issues

• Manage communication with clients and ISOs during process

• Conduct support in interconnection negotiation phases

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

• 5 years' experience with ISO/RTO generator processes

• Proficient in regulatory interpretation and advisory roles

• Strong analytical skills in power systems

• Awareness of FERC Order 2023 context
