Enhance Aviva Canada’s fire investigation efforts as a Forensic Engineer, utilizing your strong analytical skills to uncover fire origins and support claims processes. This hybrid role offers a diverse range of challenges across Ontario.
Your experience in forensic electrical engineering will contribute directly to risk assessments and investigative collaboration. You will support our claims team by performing detailed inspections and evaluations to understand fire incidents and guide operational strategies. Your ability to communicate technical findings will be vital for engaging with non-technical audiences effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct fire origin investigations on-site
• Document evidence including witness testimonies and reports
• Analyze failures using scientific investigation principles
• Provide engineering opinions to guide claims professionals
• Collaborate on projects involving complex fire loss situations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in engineering
• Minimum 8 years in forensic engineering related to fires
• Ontario Professional Engineer license required
• Proficient in MS Office suite
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
